Applicants wishing to participate in the data quality workshop are sought from a variety of big data backgrounds: government, non-profit, industry, health, collaborative data groups like citizen science initiatives, and others. Recipients of a travel scholarship are expected to actively participate in the dialogue on data quality; thus they should be able to demonstrate previous experience in this area and foresee a benefit to their career trajectory by attending the workshop.
Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers at institutions of higher education in the United States, and early career researchers at U.S.-based research institutions who graduated with a relevant master’s or PhD and are no more than three years beyond receipt of their degree.
