The Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement, Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, and Indiana Destination Development Corporation are collaborating to develop a new heritage trail in our state. 

Heritage trails are recreational and educational walking, biking and driving routes that provide opportunities to explore and experience regional histories. Heritage trails come in many forms, though most use some combination of informational exhibits, staffed demonstration sites and a wide range of digital and interactive media to help bring the past to life.

Please share your ideas for sites, stories, and events that could be part of the trail. Of special interest are parts of Indiana culture and history that have been ignored, forgotten, or hidden.
